Anton Berman's production is a performative contemplation on the historical figure of Joan of Arc. Based on her narrative the piece examines the inner struggles of a person who feels called to initiate major changes within a society. With their experimental composition and movement language Anton Berman and Charlie Petersen develop a gripping, sometimes disturbing portrait of a powerful but vulnerable woman.

The composer and the performer got to know each other in 2015, both being employed at the State Theater in Mainz. In their first collaboration the artists stick to a carefully defined score while giving space for the live composition and the movements to influence each other in the moment. As a result every performance reveals new facets of the internal experience of Joan of Arc.
